Universal Monsters Dark Universe Films Canceled

Universal Studios pioneered the shared universe concept with its Universal Monsters brand in the 1930s, creating crossover hits featuring Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man. The studio attempted to revive this approach in modern times with the Dark Universe, a cinematic shared universe built around classic monster characters. However, the ambitious project ultimately failed to gain traction, resulting in the cancellation of multiple planned films.
