X-Men's Most Feared Villains Finally Enter the MCU

San Diego Comic-Con brought major announcements: Ryan Gosling's getting his own Ghost Rider film, and Marvel's finally bringing X-Men's most dangerous villains into the MCU fold during Avengers: Doomsday. The studio showed new footage that apparently showcases these threats in action, while also debuting the new Black Panther cast for Ryan Coogler's threequel. It's worth mentioning that Ryan Reynolds was there lobbying to get involved somehow, which—if you know Ryan Reynolds—is obviously hilarious. This SDCC slate proves Marvel's still swinging for the fences with multiversal storytelling.
ComicsBuzz Take
Introducing major X-Men villains in a multiversal Avengers film before a solo X-Men movie is backwards—unless Marvel's intentionally building these characters as bigger threats than their comic counterparts.
